About this event

Before registering for this event, you MUST be registered with 4-H Online (https://v2.4honline.com/) to attend.

What? Campers learn basic woodworking skills and work on 3 personal week-long projects: a napkin holder, an oven push stick, and a sign in the shape of North Carolina. Students will learn power tools such as the planer, joiner, miter saw, band saw, and power sanders. They will learn woodworking techniques such as measuring and marking accurately, how to do a glue-up, introductory dowel joinery, and raising the grain. No previous experience necessary!

Who? This camp is for ages 12 to 18 years old.

When? August 5-9, 9am-12pm daily

Where? Campers should be dropped off and picked up each day at Bull City Woodshop (1912 E Pettigrew St. Durham, NC 27703). For more information on the Bull City Woodshop visit www.thebullcitywoodshop.com

Registration deadline: All camp registrations close on April 15. Space is limited for each camp. If you’d like to be put on the waitlist, contact Durham’s 4-H agent at amauney@ncsu.edu.

Camp Refund Policy: You must notify Durham County 4-H at least 30 days before your camp begins to receive a full refund. If your schedule changes within 30 days of camp, you will not receive a refund.
